I was skeptical about this! But, after a day of lots of running around, I was still smelling fresh and clean!

Falling Into Us by Jasinda Wilder
Falling Into Us by Jasinda Wilder
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This is not a sequel to Falling into you!! This is a book that goes along side Falling into You. That being said, this is a great book. I was hooked on the first chapter. Jasinda has written a novel that looks into the family life of a star football player and a very studious student. The love that Becca and Jason have for each other is very strong. Their families put them through hell, but they stay strong with each other. They share firsts together, they also share loss. I think that Jasinda is a great writer and she has put, yet again, her heart and soul into this book.

Roaring Midnight by Colleen Gleason
Roaring Midnight by Colleen Gleason
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
~~I received and free ARC in exchange for an honest review~~
I was excited that I was able to read "Roaring Midnight" by Colleen Gleason, I have never read anything by her before. And for it to be a novel about vampires, that was even better!! I love vampires, I have ever since I was a very little girl! That being said; At first the book read slow, but that didn't last very long at all. It started to pic up the pace as soon as the action started at the dance club!! I couldn't turn that pages on my kindle fast enough! I only had to slow down to look up words that I have never heard before. I love that Colleen uses words that we do not use any more. She really made the the 1920's come alive in her writing. Colleen did her research on period clothing and issues that were popular for the timing of the book.
The book is set in the 1920's, so it was smack dab in the middle of Prohibition, and gangster wars for turf. The gangster in this novel is Al Capone, not only is he one of the more famous gangsters/mobsters, he is also the most dangerous! Mr. Capone holds a very dark secret, and if this secret got out, he would be the most deadliest not only for the mortals, but for the immortals as well. Macey is a young girl out on her own in the big city of Chicago. She lives for going to work at the University Library where she hopes one day she will become the head librarian, but she also lives for going out with her friends dancing in clubs with secret rooms. She has to make a life changing decision: act like nothing is going on, or help get rid of the chaos in the city.
Colleen has written a great book! I can't wait for the other books in the series to come out! I am going to have to go back and read "The Gardella Vampire Chronicles" by Colleen, so I can get a better understanding of what is going on. No you do not have to read that series before you read "Roaring Midnight". I am excited to see what Colleen writes next!

Kitchen Scandals by Brooke Cumberland
Kitchen Scandals by Brooke Cumberland
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
~~~~I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review~~~
Brooke Cumberland has done it again! Kitchen Scandals dives deeper into the relationship of Drake and Molly. One of the reasons WHY I love to read her books is because she just doesn't let the characters fall in love with each other. She makes the characters fight for what they want, She puts challenges in the way. Some of the challenges I can relate to, so I was drawn more into the story that ever before. One of the things that I could relate to is Stella. I too have a 5 year old daughter, and she is a very picky eater. She only eats noodle and butter, fruit, and when I ask her what she wants for breakfast, lunch or dinner she responds with Pancakes.
Brooke puts lots of love into this book. She tugs at our heartstrings, makes us cry, laugh--no seriously, I literally laughed out loud in a couple of parts in the book! She makes us think about the ones we love, the ones we lost, and the ones that loved and then lost. If you haven't started reading this series yet, you need too! You need to be drawn into the restaurant/the drama/and the love that pours out from this book! Brooke has a loyal reader right here! What she writes is gold!!
Dragonfly by Leigh Talbert Moore
Dragonfly by Leigh Talbert Moore
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
So when I read books, I like to think about what I am going to say on my review for about a day or so. I purchased Dragonfly because it was $.99, not gonna like, I love $.99 book!! I usually read while I am winding down at night, just some me time to relax. I started reading this book at 11:19pm on 6/5/2013, I finished the book at 3:58am on 6/6/2013. The only time I put it down was to use the restroom. The book grabbed me from the start. Anna, the smart girl with the frizzy hair (I can relate to the frizzy hair, I myself have naturally curly hair with natural frizz). She is in her senior year of school, and without her best friend. She goes through out her senior torn between the guy that she has known for two years- Julian, the romantic artist who Anna was tutoring her Junior year. Julian keeps asking her out, but Anna is hesitant to go out with him. Then there is Jack--he is the rich, handsome boy that everyone wants to be with, he loves sailing and his sister Lucy. Lucy is scatter brained but finds a love that keeps her happy. Anna uncovers a huge mystery about some very powerful people, but she only wants to do the right thing, should she spill what she knows? Or should she keep it bottled up?
Leigh wrote a book that is great!! Like I said, I couldn't put it down. I am so glad that I purchased this book. I can't wait until July 18th when Undertow comes out!! Leigh puts her heart and her soul in this book, or I guess I should say, Leigh is putting her heart and her soul into this series. I am glad that she is continuing on with the characters in the book! She will have a great series when they are all out! Keep up the fantastic writing Leigh, YOU have made me a loyal reader!!
