#1 New York Times bestselling author of Hopeless joins forces with the New York Times bestselling author of Mud Vein. Together, they have created a gripping, romantic tale unlike any other.
"How odd to be made of flesh, balanced on bone, and filled with a soul you've never met."
"How odd to be made of flesh, balanced on bone, and filled with a soul you've never met."
Charlize Wynwood and Silas Nash have been best friends since they could walk. They've been in love since the age of fourteen.
But as of this morning...they are complete strangers.
Their first kiss, their first fight, the moment they fell in love...every memory has vanished.
Their first kiss, their first fight, the moment they fell in love...every memory has vanished.
"I don't care what our real first kiss was," he says. "That's the one I want to remember."
Charlize and Silas must work together to uncover the truth about what happened to them and why. But the more they learn about the couple they used to be...the more they question why they were ever together to begin with.
"I want to remember what it feels like to love someone like that. And not just anyone. I want to know what it feels like to love Charlie."
Have you ever read a book and from the beginning, you cannot put it down? Well, this is that book. I started this book when I was getting my toes done. And whimpered when the nice lady told me that I was done. So I raced home, let the dog out, and finished this book. Then I got to the end of the book, and I was sad. I was sad and upset that it was the end of the book. I wish I had Colleen and Tarryn’s number so I can text them and just say “where’s book 2? I need it now ladies!” I don’t think that I have been this enthralled with a book in a very long time. I might have to re-read it, just to pass the time.
The book starts with Charlie “waking” up in a classroom, except, she doesn’t know what room, who she is, who the people are, and where she is at. She doesn’t know anything at all. Silas is in the same boat, but he thinks he’s alone. Until fourth period. They don’t know each other, yet they feel a sense of calmness when they are with each other. Trying to find out what happened is most important. Everything else can take a step back.
I’m excited to read more from these two. I have already read Colleen and absolutely love her work. Tarryn is a new one for me, so now I have to go and find more books by her. If you have never read anything by either one of these two ladies, then I suggest that you start with this book. It grabs your attention and it will not let you go.
