Losing Hope by Colleen Hoover

Losing Hope (Hopeless, #2)Losing Hope by Colleen Hoover
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Get your tissues out!!!! This is not a sequel to Hopeless. This is a parallel book. It is the accounts told by Holder, what he went through, and how he coped with everything. This is a great book. I found it a little hard to read because I knew what happened from reading Hopeless. BUT, YOU NEED TO READ THIS BOOK AS WELL!!! This book shows you how Holder handled everything. How he acted, and why he did the things he did. It shows a side that not many authors want to divulge into. Not only does Ms. Hoover get accounts of what happened after Holder meets Sky, but she gives us incite on what happened before, during and after. The parts that we didn't get to see in Hopeless. I love this book.

Undertow by Leigh Talbert Moore

Undertow (Dragonfly, #2)Undertow by Leigh Talbert Moore
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book is more of a background on what happened between Bill, Meg, and Lexi. Anne is back and she is reading the journals that Bill gave her to read. As much as she wants to tell Julian the secret that she knows, she knows that she needs to read these journals to see why Lexi doesn't want to say anything. This book is great! It has love, hate, drunken nights in Mexico, boats, and buildings. But most importantly it has love. The journals that she reads are full of love and devotion.

I am glad that I read this book. Now I know some more information. I didn't like that it was such a short read. It left me wanting more NOW!!! I will have to wait till the third book comes out!! Leigh did an amazing job at making it seem like Anne was reading word for word what was going on, like she was right there with them. You need to get this book!!!

By Referral Only by Lyla Payne

By Referral Only (Whitman University, #2)By Referral Only by Lyla Payne
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Lyla really knows how to capture the essence of College, and what the life is like when the student has so many things going one at the same time. Ruby is your typical college student, She takes her classes seriously. She is a theatre student, and performing on the stage is what she loves to do best. Cole Stuart is from Scotland. He has been known to let the ladies down after a few dates. Ruby and Cole are in a class together, and the moment that he starts talking she melts. But there is something about him that Ruby can believe. The star swimmer for Whitmore has a secret, but what is it? Ruby starts to feel something for him, but knows that she shouldn't be feeling what she is feeling.

Lyla writes beautifully, her books show that. She loves her characters, and she writes like she is writing down everything that they are doing right then and there. You need to get this book!!

Spark by Brooke Cumberland

Spark (Spark, #1)Spark by Brooke Cumberland
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

For once an author that makes the characters fight for each others love! Spark is a very steamy romance, one that plays with the push/pull of a relationship. You have your wants, your desires, your dreams, but what this book doesn't have is a crappy plot! Spark is about a fire fighter (a very hot fire fighter pun intended) that saves Velaney from her apartment building when it was on fire. Eric, is the fire fighter that saves her. He is all kinds of hunky,and come one, who doesn't want to be saved by a fire fighter. Eric is a life saver in more ways than one. Velaney has a past that no one would wish on anyone. The struggles that these two go through just to be able to be with one another is hard. Velaney is torn with the man she loves, and a past that doesn't seem to go away. Eric wants to love Velaney, he wants to help her see that she can do anything, and nothing bad is going to happen.

All of the chemistry that these two have is strong, it is almost too strong to put on to paper, so make sure you have some water next to you (or wine) to douse those flames! Brooke has put, yet again, her heart and soul into this baby. You can tell that she has passion when she is writing this book! It would be a mistake NOT to pick this book up.

Starry Montana Sky by Debra Holland

Starry Montana Sky (Montana Sky, 2)Starry Montana Sky by Debra Holland
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I love reading Debra Holland! It is a breath of fresh air to read a series, or a book, that doesn't have the problems and the situations that we hear about or we have in this day and age. Not to mention, the romance, and the love that Debra puts into her writing.

Starry Montana Sky is set in the Old West, where women are considered fragile, and can't do anything that a man can, let alone run a ranch with Falabella horses. When Samantha moves from Argentina to Sweetwater Springs, MT she is met with people that don't take to her and her son well. Few people think of her as a woman that can handle things on her own. Wyatt Thompson is one such person. He has always wanted the ranch that his ranch sets next to, there was only one problem, Samantha has inherited the ranch from her Uncle and she is not willing to sell!

This book has problems such as bullying, and overcoming adversity. The towns folk take kindly to a couple of twins that have problems with authority, not to mention Samantha's son Daniel, who is half Mexican and half American. You will love this book!

Falling Into Us by Jasinda Wilder

Falling Into Us (Falling, #2)Falling Into Us by Jasinda Wilder
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is not a sequel to Falling into you!! This is a book that goes along side Falling into You. That being said, this is a great book. I was hooked on the first chapter. Jasinda has written a novel that looks into the family life of a star football player and a very studious student. The love that Becca and Jason have for each other is very strong. Their families put them through hell, but they stay strong with each other. They share firsts together, they also share loss. I think that Jasinda is a great writer and she has put, yet again, her heart and soul into this book.

Roaring Midnight by Colleen Gleason

Roaring MidnightRoaring Midnight by Colleen Gleason
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

~~I received and free ARC in exchange for an honest review~~

I was excited that I was able to read "Roaring Midnight" by Colleen Gleason, I have never read anything by her before. And for it to be a novel about vampires, that was even better!! I love vampires, I have ever since I was a very little girl! That being said; At first the book read slow, but that didn't last very long at all. It started to pic up the pace as soon as the action started at the dance club!! I couldn't turn that pages on my kindle fast enough! I only had to slow down to look up words that I have never heard before. I love that Colleen uses words that we do not use any more. She really made the the 1920's come alive in her writing. Colleen did her research on period clothing and issues that were popular for the timing of the book.

The book is set in the 1920's, so it was smack dab in the middle of Prohibition, and gangster wars for turf. The gangster in this novel is Al Capone, not only is he one of the more famous gangsters/mobsters, he is also the most dangerous! Mr. Capone holds a very dark secret, and if this secret got out, he would be the most deadliest not only for the mortals, but for the immortals as well. Macey is a young girl out on her own in the big city of Chicago. She lives for going to work at the University Library where she hopes one day she will become the head librarian, but she also lives for going out with her friends dancing in clubs with secret rooms. She has to make a life changing decision: act like nothing is going on, or help get rid of the chaos in the city.

Colleen has written a great book! I can't wait for the other books in the series to come out! I am going to have to go back and read "The Gardella Vampire Chronicles" by Colleen, so I can get a better understanding of what is going on. No you do not have to read that series before you read "Roaring Midnight". I am excited to see what Colleen writes next!

Kitchen Scandals by Brooke Cumberland

Kitchen Scandals (Riverside Trilogy #2)Kitchen Scandals by Brooke Cumberland
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

~~~~I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review~~~
Brooke Cumberland has done it again! Kitchen Scandals dives deeper into the relationship of Drake and Molly. One of the reasons WHY I love to read her books is because she just doesn't let the characters fall in love with each other. She makes the characters fight for what they want, She puts challenges in the way. Some of the challenges I can relate to, so I was drawn more into the story that ever before. One of the things that I could relate to is Stella. I too have a 5 year old daughter, and she is a very picky eater. She only eats noodle and butter, fruit, and when I ask her what she wants for breakfast, lunch or dinner she responds with Pancakes.
Brooke puts lots of love into this book. She tugs at our heartstrings, makes us cry, laugh--no seriously, I literally laughed out loud in a couple of parts in the book! She makes us think about the ones we love, the ones we lost, and the ones that loved and then lost. If you haven't started reading this series yet, you need too! You need to be drawn into the restaurant/the drama/and the love that pours out from this book! Brooke has a loyal reader right here! What she writes is gold!!
Dragonfly by Leigh Talbert Moore
Dragonfly (Dragonfly, #1)Dragonfly by Leigh Talbert Moore
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
So when I read books, I like to think about what I am going to say on my review for about a day or so. I purchased Dragonfly because it was $.99, not gonna like, I love $.99 book!! I usually read while I am winding down at night, just some me time to relax. I started reading this book at 11:19pm on 6/5/2013, I finished the book at 3:58am on 6/6/2013. The only time I put it down was to use the restroom. The book grabbed me from the start. Anna, the smart girl with the frizzy hair (I can relate to the frizzy hair, I myself have naturally curly hair with natural frizz). She is in her senior year of school, and without her best friend. She goes through out her senior torn between the guy that she has known for two years- Julian, the romantic artist who Anna was tutoring her Junior year. Julian keeps asking her out, but Anna is hesitant to go out with him. Then there is Jack--he is the rich, handsome boy that everyone wants to be with, he loves sailing and his sister Lucy. Lucy is scatter brained but finds a love that keeps her happy. Anna uncovers a huge mystery about some very powerful people, but she only wants to do the right thing, should she spill what she knows? Or should she keep it bottled up?
Leigh wrote a book that is great!! Like I said, I couldn't put it down. I am so glad that I purchased this book. I can't wait until July 18th when Undertow comes out!! Leigh puts her heart and her soul in this book, or I guess I should say, Leigh is putting her heart and her soul into this series. I am glad that she is continuing on with the characters in the book! She will have a great series when they are all out! Keep up the fantastic writing Leigh, YOU have made me a loyal reader!!
Wild Montana Sky by Debra Holland
Wild Montana Sky  (Montana Sky, 1)Wild Montana Sky by Debra Holland
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This was the first true romance novel that I have ever read. I am glad that this was the first one that I have read. This book is a historical romance that is set in the late 1800's. Debra paints a picture of the wild west, and of 19th century Boston. You can see the homes that they live in, and how they dress. I get mad at Genia and Laurance because of the way that they treat Elizabeth. Nick is the cowboy that wants to be loved, and only has eyes for Elizabeth. Mr. Livingston wants to have Elizabeth, but only to place her in a bird cage and clip her wings. Pamela is Elizabeth's best friend who saves her from the life that she was living. She introduces Elizabeth to the way that she lives and how carefree she really is. The ranch life starts to agree with Elizabeth. There are the normal trials and tribulations of living in the Wild West. I am very glad that I got this book, and I am also glad that I read this book! I can't wait to read the other books in the series!
Kitchen Affairs by Brooke Cumberland
Kitchen Affairs (Riverside Trilogy #1)Kitchen Affairs by Brooke Cumberland
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I bought this book because it was $.99!! I mean who doesn't love a book that is $.99? Brooke touches on a subject that is more common that we know. No not the rich and famous, the employee falls for the employer. I read some of the reviews to get what people had thought of the book before I read the book. Some of the reviews that I had read stated that they couldn’t follow the story at all, they felt that it was too jumpy and didn’t make any sense. Well, I felt like I was reading (or watching cuz I have a very active imagination) a Quentin Tarantino script/movie/book. It flowed very well and it made sense when there were flash backs. This is not a slam on Brooke at all, I love anything that Tarantino does. You have to have flashbacks in the book so you can understand where Molly is coming from and why she is the way that she is. Molly has a heart that is full of love, but she is very guarded about who she gives it to. She has known what it feels like to lose someone that you love. Drake has a reputation that precedes him, and Molly knows who is he is; she has done her homework. Yet, she feels something for him. Drake is the same way, he’s done his homework on Molly and knows she is different that all the others. The love that Brooke has put into the book just flows off of the pages. There is passion and love. A love that is epic. I did get upset and started yelling at the book that Molly was being stupid and not thinking. But that was very short lived. There is tons of hot, steamy sex in this book, it just shows that the two characters are very much into each other, like they are teenagers in high school that can’t keep their hands off each other. Brooke is a fantastic writer and I can’t wait to read more of her work!!
Falling into You by Jasinda Wilder
Falling Into You (Falling #1)Falling Into You by Jasinda Wilder
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I'm one of those people that loves to read, and I wanted to read this book ever since I met Jasinda. I went to Amazon and read the reviews, yes I do that, but despite the reviews that said don't read or don't buy, I bought AND read the book in a day. The people that wrote the "don't buys" and the "don't reads" have no clue what they are talking about. I'm sure they didn't even read the book, just read the synopsis of what it was about. Jasinda writes about a few heavy topics in her book, young love, dying, cutting, living, losing, etc...In some instances I can relate to this book many tears fell during a couple of spots in this book, did that stop me from reading it? Hell no!! I kept reading, I wanted to find out what was happening next. I got mad at Nell for turning to the bottle and cutting, and running away. But, I also knew where she was coming from (no not the cutting). There is a place in this book that I was crying so hard that I had to re-read the entire chapter twice just to see what I was actually reading. I would recommend this book to anyone that has lost someone, and didn't know what to do next. I would recommend this book to everyone that has ever loved someone (that pretty much means everyone. Jasinda puts emotion on to the pages, and makes a reader think and show that emotion. She is an excellent writer and I can't wait until Falling into Us comes out!!
Kill Shot by Liliana Hart
Kill ShotKill Shot by Liliana Hart
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Liliana is a very versatile author. She can write about anything and it is going to be a best seller. Kill Shot deals with some very real situations. This book will make you cry, be mad as hell, and feel love and joy. There wasn't a moment in this book that I wasn't trying to hurry to the next page. I wanted to read every word and make sure that I knew where the story was going. It is fast-paced in the parts of the book that it needed to be fast paced, and in the parts where it needed to slow down it did just that.
"We're going to do it right this time. There are still going to be trouble spots ahead of us. But we'll do it together. No more running for either of us..." You can fell the love that Liliana has written in this book. You would be wrong for not purchasing this book!!! If there were more than 5 stars I would give them!
Redesigned by Denise Grover Swank
Redesigned (Off the Subject #2)Redesigned by Denise Grover Swank
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Caroline always knew what she wanted in a man: handsome, wealthy, and getting a degree that was going to make a ton of money, everything that Reed Pendergraft isn't. They butt head, have arguments, and can't stand what being around each other does to them. Denise has written a book that will have ALL of your emotions going either at the same time or at different times. You will go through hate, anger, love, crying, sad, happy, pity, sympathy, disgust, excitement, etc...This is a book that you ware going to want to read multiple times. Denise will make you cry and love each of the characters all at the same time. Reed brings the sexy out in math, and makes majoring in math even hotter. I want to start this book again, and again. Denise makes you want to read, she grabs you by the shirt and pulls you into a storage room, until she is done with you, then brings you back in for more!
The Indie Voice Cocktails and Appetizers
     So, last Thursday night, Holly and I were invited to attend a soiree down at Pierpont's in Union Station Kansas City, MO. Now, we live in Missouri, born and raised here all of our lives, and never in the 31 years that I have been living had I had a day like 5/2/2013. Started off by taking my daughter to school, I was wearing flip flops because I got up late and was rushing to get Brooklynn in the car and to We Care. I step outside and HOLY HELL IT WAS FUCKING COLD!!!! Not only cold, but it was spitting this cold crap and white crap. The white crap was snow. SNOW!!!!!!!! IN MAY!!!!! OK, so like I said at the beginning, never in the 31 year of me being alive had I experienced snow this late in the Spring season. I pick Holly up and we head downtown. I know I was really excited, and scared all at the same time. I was going to meet authors, not just that, but I was going to be in the presence of women that follow their dreams everyday! So I stash my fan girl giddies in the car and act all cool and calm and what not. We pull on to the highway and people are driving 25 mph; remember the snow? Yeah it was coming down is huge white, fluffy, fat, wet, heavy flakes. Drivers in Missouri were afraid of the snow. This is normal for the idiots that drive here, we get a rain drop and a good portion of the drivers forget how to drive in the rain. It snows, and it is like the world is ending. Finally past the dumb dumbs' that are driving too slow for me (like I said 25 mph), Holly and I are on our way FINALLY!!!! We pull into Union Station and get out, snow still falling like big puffy pillows, and we get inside Union Station. OK here is when the fan girl starts to rise up again. We get inside the elevator and two other people join us, little did Holly or I know at the time but we were in the elevator with Jana DeLeon. The first person that I see when we get off the elevator was Denise Grover Swank!!! OK, so now Holly and I are calming down, we know Denise from being on her street team, and from a previous book signing. We then meet Heather Smith, she is Denise's right hand woman and assistant. We grab our alcohol, peruse the gathering, drool over the food, and start to chill out. As Holly and I were people watching, a very strange woman comes and stands too close for comfort to us. She was almost in our little bubble. We say hi, she goes on about how she want's to apologize for the weather to everyone, and she leaves. We go and fill our plates, go and stand next to Heather, we see Trisha Leigh and say hello, and then the fun starts. We were introduced to Stormy, Emily, and Tristian (sorry if I spelled your name wrong!!!). From there, we meet Jane Graves, Jasinda Wilder, Debra Holland, Dorian Kelly, Liliana Hart, and Colleen Gleason (If I forgot anyone I am so very sorry I still love you!!). There were mentions of this is sanitizer, not lube, and pictures of our butts (no not bare), and there was something about anal bleaching. We had a blast. We didn't want it to end, but then the end came. We got our goody bags, and look inside at the goodies. BOOKS!!!!!!!! So being natural fans, we pull them out and wonder if it was OK if we got them autographed... OH Who cares!!! We get them signed gave hugs, became friends on Facebook and said out good byes. So, now what happens? We wait until we can get together again next year in New Orleans, and have even more fun in the Big Easy!
***The woman that was in the elevator with Jana DeLeon was Barbara Vey, a book blogger for Publishers Weekly***
Too oily and smells terrible!
If you are wondering if this is a great product, I would say no (at least to me). I am just glad that I got this for free to try!  On my hair it made it really really oily, and on my skin it wasn't any better. I had to use almost the whole bottle before I started to notice a change in the dryness of my skin. And you may be thinking OK I'm still going to try it, it might smell good... Nope, you would be wrong on that one too. It smells like motor oil. I had to go find a good smelling lotion just to cover up the gross smell that this came with. I say try at your own risk!!!
Mike and Charlies
Most of you know, or maybe you don't, that I love Italian food!! On February 17 of this year My self and 5 more friends went to the Gary Allan concert at Harrah's North Kansas City Casino & Hotel. We arrived at Mike and Charlies to eat dinner before the 8 pm concert. We were seated at like 6:05pm, had to wait for a good 20 min before our server even showed up and took our drink order, waited another 20 min before those drinks came back to us. The server then took our appetizer order, then rushed off before getting another drink order. We had to flag someone down to find our server, when our server did show back up he had our appetizer in hand, ordered another round of drinks, waited another 10 min before we got those drinks, and then he took our dinner order, this was at 10 till 7. By 7:30 our food still had yet to arrive at our table. Now Gary Allan goes on at 8pm. We found a manger (the same gentleman that we flagged down before) and asked him where our server was and our food was, his response... the printer went down in the kitchen. We knew that was a lie because the 5 other tables that were seated after us had already had their food and left. We get our food at 7:45pm eat 5 bites and ask for the bill. The total was 358.00 for 6 people. Everyone in the party has been in the service industry for a very long time, so we know that servers work for tips, this server got a $1.63 from 6 people. I have emailed the General Manager Cap Narine, and his response was basically, so sorry that you had crappy service. Do not go to Mike and Charlies up and Harrah's. The service was below awful, and management doesn't care about repeat customers, apparently they don't care about good recommendations from patrons either. So, if you are looking for a good Italian restaurant, I suggest that you go someplace else! The management doesn't care about you, or about getting any new customers or repeat customers. They only care about their pockets. It is really sad, for the 5 bites that we had, I think it was good. The sad thing is, the general manager doesn't care about this problem at all. His excuse was that they knew there was a concert that night, and they were short staffed. We didn't get any thing taken off of our bill, no free drinks, nothing at all. If you want good Italian food I suggest Carabbas, at least there, servers and managerial staff want you to come back and go that extra mile! BTW... If any of you that read this, know Mike Garozzo or Charlie Gitto, please let them read this. I would love to hear from them and their thoughts about the poor service management and staff are bringing to this restaurant!
So I got this stuff for free from Bzzagent. And I have to tell you... I have the oil diffuser in my bedroom, and I can smell it in my living room, but it isn't so strong when you are in the bedroom. The spray is awesome as well. It isn't too strong, but lasts a long time! I recommend this product to anyone that is looking for a great scent for their home!!!
Heather McCorkle does it again!!!
Today we're celebrating the release of +Heather McCorkle's fantasy novel, The Dragon Empire! For today's stop Heather is answering the following question:
Is this novel the beginning of a new series? And what can we expect next from you?
Heather: In the traditional sense that most people think of, no. But in a way it is. There are several more novels coming that are set in this world and involve these characters. The next novel will be about Torin, one of the people that Grendar meets in The Dragon Empire and it will be a New Adult fantasy novel.
Here is a bit about it:
On Yacrana dragons are the advanced species. But advanced doesn't always mean civilized...
There's trouble in the Dragon Empire, the kind that could start a war between dragons and the races of people. Hidden factions of dragons believe they should rule the lesser races, not simply stand aside and allow them to develop as they will. Having lived so long in peace, the Emperors turn a blind eye, many oblivious that such attitudes even exist.
Despite being only an architect class, emerald dragon, Grendar is willing to risk banishment and death to stop that which his rulers refuse to see. The hope of peace lies not within the scaled breast of a dragon however, but within the hands of a group of people. But if the hidden factions have their way, these people won’t live to fulfill such a destiny. With a reluctant seer at his side, Grendar must leave his precious Empire for the outside world to save those that will one day save his kind.
While The Dragon Empire is for ages young adult and up, it does contain mild violence and some difficult subject matter.
Avocado Tree
OK, so back on December 9, 2012 I decided to try my hand at growing an Avocado tree. Now most of you know (or maybe you don't) I live in the state of Missouri where the weather can change ever 5 minutes literally! Last Monday we went from 65 degrees and sleeping with the windows open to a rainy Tuesday that turned into snow and temperatures that were below freezing. Anyway, I LOVE avocados, and so does my family. So when I was on Pinterest one day I saw that someone had posted on how to grow and avocado tree from the pit that came out of the fruit. And that is what I did. I started with the pit and followed the directions (ok, so I fudged a little bit and put the toothpicks in the wrong spot, but then I fixed them). It has been about a couple of weeks since I spotted the root. I am so excited, my pit has sprouted a root!!! I still have a long ways to go, but the root is the first step!!! There is my little root!! I am going to start another one just to be on the safe side, and maybe I can get two trees!!! I told you I love avocados!!! I guess next, my daughter wants me to try to grow a lemon and orange tree... I am going to have to look to see if Missouri is a good state to grow them in, or if I am going to have to turn my lady cave into an indoor green house!!
Grocery store rage
So just about 15 minutes ago, Brooklynn, Myles and I were at Hy-Vee getting some dinner and I remembered that I have to sign a WIC check. So I purchased my steelhead trout, rice and other items for dinner, then I made my way to the customer service counter. Now at the Blue Springs Hy-Vee there are two portions to the counter, there is the Money Services side and then customer service side. Knowing that I didn't need the money services side I stood in line on the customer service side. As I was standing there, an elderly lady in a motorized shopping cart started yelling that she was behind the gentleman that I was standing behind. She also said that there was one line for the whole counter, that I cut in front of her... Now many of you know me, and know that I have a small attitude...So I told her very nicely that I was standing in the customer service line, and that she was standing in the Money services line. She started to argue with me, so I start to ignore her. She raises her voice making a scene, by now the gentleman that is in front of my and his two daughters are getting involved with the little elderly lady. She goes on and on how she just got out of the hospital because she had lung surgery. OK... I'm going to state something here... if a person just got out of the hospital from lung surgery, they sure as hell are NOT going to be outside with wind that is at least 12 mph with the temp at 18 degrees. Now, the lady that is behind me is looking at me ans she says "really, this is what this lady is mad about? A stupid place in the line? I have better things to do with my life than to worry about a stupid place in line!" I agreed with her and went about standing in line. It got to my turn I did my business, told the lady behind the counter to have a great rest of her day and went home. Now correct me if I am wrong, but there are more important things in this life that a place in line. I feel sorry for this elderly lady, if she is worried about a place in line, she is worried about the wrong things. Just remember folks, it is a place in line, it isn't life and death, we are all going to be helped when we can!
There will be more posts later, I have new things to try and books that I have to review!!!
Influenster free items!!
This is the latest funtastic FREE  item that I have received from Influenster!!! Palmolive  Fresh Infusions!!! OK, so at first smell, I was not impressed at all. I didn't like any of the scents. In fact I really didn't want to try them at all. But, I took a chance on the Ginger and White Tea dish soap. I did a sink load of dishes last night and it smells great!!! It gets all of the grease and what not off of the dishes, and it leaves your hands very soft! I had to let a dish soak over night so I added a little of this soap to it. I expected to wake up in the morning and have to redo the whole process over of adding more soap to the dish to wash it... NOPE!!! I added more water and it started to suds up again! I didn't have to add any more soap to wash it, and it still had a great scent to it! I am so glad that I did try this! Thank you Influenster for the free bottles of Dish soap. Now the only problem is who do I give the other ones to. In the box I received one coupon for a $1.50 off a bottle, 3 free bottles: Ginger White tea, Lime Basil, and Lemon Thyme, and an information card!!!!
Oh when does it end?
     When you have kids, and they are sick, you feel helpless.  You can't do anything to make them feel any better. All you can do is hope and pray that the medicine that the doctors office prescribes you starts to work quickly. In the mean time, you go through boxes of tissues, lots of tears even more laundry than you want to do. There are tons of holding and kisses, lots of rocking back and forth. Orange juice and crackers, chicken noodle soup and sleeping as much as you can. Then after all of that it seems like the illness isn't going away. Tonight, my son has gone through 3 outfits, several diapers, and now has a diaper rash, has had his medicine, and is now sleeping (for the time being).  My daughter doesn't have what we have. She is strong and doesn't want to be sick. All she wants to do is cuddle with her doggie.
     In the meantime, I have decided to partake in the Polar Bear plunge. I need to get sponsors and raise $150 bucks! It is going to a great cause. Even me being on disability I donated!! If any of you that read this please help me out! I am going to be jumping in a very cold lake on most likely a very cold day in January. The link to my donation page is: Polar Bear Plunge Donation page!!!. Anything you can donate would help out!
     It is time to get off of here and get to either reading or resting more. I hope you all have a great night!
Sick, sick, sick
So the sickness is still going strong. Brooklynn is now showing symptoms of the flu. I went to urgent care yesterday and tested positive for infuenza B. I am writing you from the doctors office for my kiddos because Myles is still not feeling well, and now brooklynn isn't feeling to well. They have me on all sorts of stuff, my tummy hurts and is upset, all I want to do is sleep and stay at home and get better. Please pray that my family and I get better quickly.
My family is sick:(
Since Saturday morning Jay has not felt well... Thursday, Myles got his 4 month shots. Of course they gave him a fever and now he has a cold. Brooklynn started not feeling well on Saturday, she couldn't keep anything down yesterday, and today isn't much better. I'm the only one so far that isn't ill. But that is going to change. I started getting a cough this morning. Please pray I don't get ill, and pray my family gets better.
Awake with Myles
My baby boy got his 4 mo shots yesterday (1/3/13), and now today (1/4/2013) he has been running a fever. He hasn't slept really well today, and when he does sleep it is for an hour at a time, which means I don't get to sleep.  He as also been congested. Coughing mucus up. His lungs are clear, just congested. I feel bad that there is nothing that I can do to make him feel better except cuddle with him.
beef knuckle...
ok, so I have a golden retriever puppy (ok she'll be one on the 20th), and she goes thru bones like they are paper, so we thought we should get her larger bones... So that is what we did. We got her a beef knuckle. It smells bad, but she hasn't gone thru it yet. There is still 90% of the knuckle left. So. Hope she can keep this one longer than a few days! More hopefully tomorrow!
My new years resolution!
So I started my New Years resolutions today! I wrote them out and I have come up with 8 different ones! The first one is a food journal. I have started that today, and for the day I have 61 calories remaining, and that is before I have done any hard exercising! Just preparing breakfast and dinner and doing some laundry have added to the exercise log. The rest of them are get rooms clean and organized, keep up with the laundry, start exercise regime, read at least 1 new book a month, keep up with the house work, keep my grades up in school, and be a better mommy.  I think that I am very capable of accomplishing all of these! I hope that I can just keep them! My sisters wedding is coming up in October, and I don't want to embarrass her. I want her to be proud of me!
